FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
What certifications do your crews carry?
Our technicians are OSHA 10/30, AWS D1.1, and ASME Sec IX certified. No temps, no subs.
Do you support capital projects or only small jobs?
We handle both. From urgent repairs to seven figure capital projects, Magna has the crews and capacity to execute at any scale.
How fast can you respond to an emergency repair?
Our Special Projects Division offers quick response. Crews can often be onsite in 48 hours for critical shutdown or repair needs.
What industries do you specialize in?
Food and beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, plastics, energy, and utilities. We’re built for compliance-heavy, performance-critical environments.
Do you do commercial HVAC or plumbing?
No. We’re 100% industrial. We work in plants, not office buildings.
Do you offer design and drafting support?
Yes. We assist with scope development, layouts, and isometrics for piping and mechanical systems.
What’s the difference between you and a typical commercial contractor?
We’re industrial-only. Our crews are certified, our work is built to ASME/NFPA specs, and our projects require precise coordination, testing, and documentation. We also employ our techs full-time. No 1099s or temp labor
Can you provide documentation for welds, pressure tests, and QA/QC?
Yes. We generate complete documentation packages including weld logs, hydrostatic/pneumatic test reports, material certs, inspection forms, and photos if required. All are formatted to meet your plant or EPC standards.
How do you ensure safety on industrial job sites?
Every job begins with a JSA (Job Safety Analysis), and our Safety Manager audits every active site weekly. All employees are OSHA-certified and trained in LOTO, confined space, forklift, and manlift safety. We’re also ISNetworld, Avetta, and Veriforce approved.
Do you offer service in regions outside of North Texas?
Yes. While we’re headquartered in DFW, we frequently mobilize across Texas and neighboring states for larger capital projects and shutdowns. Travel costs and crew deployment will be scoped accordingly.
What’s your lead time for scheduling a new project?
For special projects and maintenance requests, we can mobilize in as little as 48 hours. Capital projects typically require 2–4 weeks lead time depending on scope and procurement needs. For maintenance programs, we recommend a 4-week setup window.
Can you work under a general contractor or only direct-to-owner?
Both. We often work directly with plant owners and operations teams, but we’re equally comfortable supporting GCs, EPC firms, or construction managers with clear scopes and communication.
Do you provide turnkey project services?
Yes. While we self-perform our core mechanical scopes, including piping, millwright, mechanical, plumbing, and structural work, we regularly coordinate with trusted partner contractors for concrete, electrical, insulation, roofing, controls, and other scopes. This allows us to deliver fully coordinated turnkey projects while keeping each scope performed by experienced specialists.
